Deep through the ages – Fall 2012 Mixtape [free download]
Nelle ultime due settimane ho provato, un passo alla volta, a fare un piccolo esperimento: saltando da un decennio all’altro vi ho proposto quelli che a parere mio erano i migliori otto dischi di 50, 40, 30, 20 e 10 anni fa. Per me è stato un gran divertimento, è stata un’occasione per riascoltare cose che non sentivo da una vita (che pezzi sono Aneurysm dei Nirvana, Wagon Wheel di Lou Reed o Straight to Hell dei Clash?), per andare un po’ più a fondo su qualche artista che conoscevo troppo superficialmente (come Nick Drake, Dead Kennedys o Flaming Lips) ma anche per scoprire cose nuove, che c’è n’è sempre e si fa sempre in tempo. Roba fantastica come Howlin’ Wolf, Big Star, Gun Club. Spero che per voi sia stata lo stesso divertimento e che vi abbia aiutato a scoprire qualcosa di nuovo perché, in fondo, è questo lo scopo di questa piccola webzine: scoprire e far scoprire roba nuova, tesori nascosti.
Otto pezzi per cinque decadi fanno quaranta pezzi, ho ristretto un po’ il campo scendendo a sei pezzi per decade e ne ho fatta una compilation di trenta brani. Ve la potete scaricare e risentire quanto vi pare.
